Sunday
10.30pm – Morning Service
This is where we gather together to sing praises to God, speak to God in prayer and hear from God through the preaching of His word, the Bible.
This service is fairly informal and all are welcome whether you regularly attend church or it is your very first time. During the service, there is a creche facility for children aged 0 to Pre-School and there is a space for nursing mums available throughout the service.
Our Sunday School (Treasure Seekers) runs during the morning service for all primary aged children (P1-P7). We spend time together singing songs as well as playing fun games, crafts, learning memory verses and other activities. All are welcome as we seek to raise our children to understand the Bible’s truth.
We also celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of the month during the morning service and on the 3rd Sunday of the month during the evening service. If you wish to attend this service but do not want to take part in communion, feel free to simply let the bread and wine pass you by.
5.30pm – Evening Service
This service is normally an hour in length where we sing praise, pray and listen to God through a sermon. This service is also followed by refreshments, so feel free to join us for tea, coffee, and a chat after the service.
7.00pm – Equip & Young Adults
After the evening service our young people get together to either study God’s word or for a social. See the Youth & Young Adults page to find out more.
Tuesday
7.00pm – Road to Recovery
Struggling with addiction?
Feel isolated in the community or church?
Then Road to Recovery is for you!
Wednesday
10.00am – Toddlers Group
A Toddler group for pre-school children and their carers. Wednesday morning, 10-11.30am, at Musselburgh Baptist Church. Our aim is to provide a warm and welcoming place for carers to come and meet and chat with others while their children play. Our morning includes playtime, crafts, snack time with tea and coffee for the adults, then song and story time. Everyone is welcome.
7.30pm – Prayer Meeting & House Groups
At MBC we believe one of the most important meetings of the week is the prayer meeting, where we come together as a church to give thanks to God for his goodness whilst also taking time to pray for different church ministries, Musselburgh and the world. We also believe that small groups are a vital part of discipleship as we study God’s word together and encourage each other in our walk with Jesus. That is why we alternate between gathering together to pray in the church & meeting in our homes to study God’s word every Wednesday.
Friday
7.00pm – Friday Club
Friday Club is our kid’s club that runs on a Friday from 7pm to 8.45pm in the church. The club is for kids in Primary five to second year of secondary school. Each week we do a range of fun activities like baking, messy games, crab football, table tennis, movie nights and in the summer months we go outside for adventures! There is also a a short and to the point Christian message.
